In the summer of 2001, coming from New York City, we bought our house in Hampton. It was two (2) months before 9/11.
A Saturday shortly after that tragic day, my wife, son and I spent the day on Buckroe Beach; walking, talking, trying to make sense of everything.
The beauty, quietness, solitude and friendliness of the Buckroe Beach Community gave us comfort and solace.
May it always stay that way.
