Watch this last night. Was very good, I wished it went longer. Pelosi interviews ones who were guilty of trespassing and unlawful occupancy but not ones who aggressively attacked the police, (though one is guilty for grabbing an officer’s head gear.)
Surprisingly, two of the interviewees voted for Obama in the previous elections, and actually one admitted voting for Biden. But though some admit what they did was wrong, they still hold Trump in reverence.
Of those interviewed, they are likeable and show no hatred (well after being rehabilitated). But there is common thread in all of them, they all look to belong, to be accepted, one wanting a wife and children. They feel unrepresented and for some reason, this so called billionaire Trump who doesn’t pay his contractors, who cheated on his young pregnant wife, spoke to them. How? I don’t know how. FDR, who was rich, helped the poor, the common man and woman. In my grandparents house, there was a picture of Jesus and FDR (oh, and Rocky Marciano). But anyway…
The point of the documentary, is that we need to listen and talk to each other to find some common ground. Beating our chests and staying in a corner does not help anything or anyone.
See it if you can!
